TO AMANDA ALBERT PHOTOGRAPHY
I started taking pictures during my sophomore year of high school and I realized I had a passion for photography. I grew a love for portrait photography, storytelling and the human connection found in captivating life’s special moments. I started working as a professional photographer in 2016 in sunny California, followed the sun to Florida, and left it behind when we moved to the United Kingdom. Now as your Cambridge Photographer, I specialize in family portraits, destination wedding photography, and couple sessions throughout Europe.
My favorite parts about being a lifestyle photographer are making women feel empowered, seen and beautiful. I also love seeing families laugh, play, and connect.
I believe my faith plays a huge influence on how I view and treat my clients. I also believe being a mother has created compassion and love for documenting maternity and motherhood photography.

I am a mama of two beautiful children and I love supporting women in the challenges of motherhood and having that joy that they bring. I love documenting the journey and milestones of motherhood through maternity, newborn and motherhood photography sessions. I believe motherhood is a sacred experience. Having love for people and deeply caring about what they have experienced in their life comes from my relationship with Jesus.
HUMILITY & GRATITUDE
I know how special and rare it is to get to see this window into people’s lives and I am truly thankful that I get to be a part of it. Every time a bride walks down the aisle my viewfinder fogs up because I start to cry. Every time I capture a family session my heart is filled with overwhelming joy. Every time I have a motherhood photography session I am filled with gratitude.
DEPTH & AUTHENTICITY
I believe that in order to truly tell someone’s story, you must have a personal conversation to really understand a person’s past. By learning their history, I can better understand how they look at the world. I love connecting with someone at a truly human level in all of my lifestyle photography.

My husband and I met while backpacking in Rome at a youth hostel. We connected immediately and ended up walking to the Trevi Fountain at 2am in the morning. I believe this trip really sparked my passion for travel and destination photography.

Together my husband and I have been to over 20 countries and are currently visiting more as we live in Cambridge, UK. While in the United Kingdom, I am a perfect fit for your destination wedding photography and travel session photographs.

I am a mama to a 3 year old and just welcomed a beautiful new baby to our family. Being a mother has created a great love for capturing maternity sessions, newborn photography and wherever your motherhood journey takes you.

I am a follower of Jesus and I try to reflect that in how I serve my clients, friends and family through my lifestyle photography. I also believe in living life to the fullest, so I dedicate a lot of energy into seeing and doing as much as I can – traveling and destination photography is a huge passion of mine.

I love a good margarita or a vanilla latte. Mexican food is my love language and if I was stranded on a desert island, it would be my number one choice!
FINDING LOVE ABROAD
Our Love Story
In 2011, I decided to backpack around Europe all by myself after attending a photography workshop in Ethiopia. I had always dreamed of seeing Europe and figured it was just a quick hop over from Africa. I booked a one way ticket over and my first stop was Paris and then to Florence Italy. I took an overnight train from Paris to Florence and arrived early in the morning to a youth hostel. When I arrived at the hostel, only one other backpacker was awake, another girl close in age to me. We struck up a conversation and became friends right away. She, too, was backpacking by herself and asked if I would like to travel to Rome with her the following day. Traveling to Rome would be a dream come to true so of course I decided to go!
The two of us took the train down to Rome and arrived at The Yellow Youth Hostel. Shortly after we arrived at the hostel, the girl I traveled with ran into two guys from the hostel in Florence. One of these guys was my future husband Nick, a burly Oregon mountain man who was soon to become an Air Force pilot. We walked over and started talking to Nick and his friend at the bar. I immediately thought Nick was so handsome! The next night we went out on a pub crawl around Rome and Nick and I talked and flirted the whole time. The following night, Nick and I decided to walk to the Trevi fountain together at 2 am. We traded social media info and decided to stay in touch after our Europe adventures.
It wasn’t until a year afterward that Nick and I decided to meet up again in Los Angeles. We started long distance dating between California and Texas. At the time, Nick was stationed in Texas as an Air Force pilot. In 2015, Nick asked me to be his wife and proposed to me in front of the Replica Trevi Fountain in Las Vegas in front of my friends and family! We got married on November 1st 2015 in Hawaii at a private estate on the beach. In 2020, we welcomed our first child, a baby boy while we were living in Florida. Our love for travel and adventure continued. In 2022, we moved to Cambridge, England, and welcomed our second beautiful baby. Our love story is one of my favorites to tell…
